I am enjoying two artist hats right now, plein air and multi-media.
In my plein air work I tend to paint in a realist style...realism that your soul can feel. I love to evoke emotion in the natural beauty of things and inclined to paint in bold colors and extend on nature's brilliance. Gravitating to rich hues, I use only quality oil paints and materials to create my art. I want my art to tell you a story, to lead you into the image and make you want to be there.
In my mixed-media abstract style works I am exploring color and texture in a new imaginative way. I am having fun expressing emotion and movement in these works, many times inspired by personal experiences and emotions. Follow me in this newest journey.
Tina served as the US Postal Art Illustrator for the South Florida District Postal Service for 17 years up until her move to northern Florida. Her education includes 2 years Commercial Art at the Miami Lakes Technical Institute along with several years study with a local respected South Florida artist for oil painting and then numerous fine art workshops. Presently residing in High Springs, Florida, she has decided to pursue her first love, Fine Art Oil Painting.
This area of Florida has inspired her creativity with its “artsy” spirit and its wonderful array of springs, beautiful ranches, farms and historic “Old Florida”. She also paints figurative, animal portraits, landscapes and has become passionate for Plein Air painting for the last ten years. Commissions are always welcomed. Contact early if wishing a pet portrait for a wonderful holiday gift.
Recently she has also been stepping out of her creative box to combine the world of ultra-realism and abstract works, adding to her art portfolio.
Tina has opened her own gallery in beautiful downtown High Springs called Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies. Come see her work, the works of her artist friends and you can even buy quality art supplies. Along with all that, she is an active member of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association, Plein Air Florida and regularly participates in several outdoor fine art festivals and plein air events.
