Tina Corbett Artist Statement:

       I paint in a realist style...realism that your soul can feel. I love to evoke emotion in the natural beauty of things, inclining to paint in bold colors and extend on nature's brilliance. When painting en Plein Air I am traveling on an art journey in a way that I never thought possible. I look forward to each paintout with exciting anticipation.  The pull to capture, artistically, the essence of nature or a historical site, is an adrenaline rush each time I step outside to paint.

Tina Corbett Bio:

      Born in Brooklyn NY, raised in South Florida and presently living in High Springs, Florida, Tina Corbett has devoted her life to her study of art. Throughout the years, she studied Fine Art Oil Painting with several fine art teachers. At 24, she graduated with a Commercial Art Certification from Miami Lakes Tech and served as the Postal Art Illustrator for the South Florida District Post Office for almost 20 years until her move to northern Florida. There she has decided to pursue her first love, fine art oil painting.

     These past years she has actively pursued Plein Air painting. This particular area of Florida has inspired her creativity with its “artsy” spirit and its wonderful array of springs, beautiful ranches, farms and historic “Old Florida”. 

     In 2006 she helped start and operate The High Springs Art Coop for 6 years and then moved on to open her own gallery & art supply boutique in High Springs. Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies, which is named after her maiden name to honor her father, is home to her works along with 20 other local artists and artisans.  She is an active member of Gainesville Fine Arts Association and a member of Plein Air Florida.  She regularly sells her works of the Florida’s rivers & local springs and has received several accolades for her work. Tina regularly participates in various Art Festivals and Plein Air Events.

    Tina occasionally will engage in a different medium with her realism/abstract works she enters into a variety of art exhibits for an eclectic body of work. This rounds out her love to pursue new and fun creative adventures.
